Dirty Air Contributes to Thousands of Deaths Every Year.

Despite improvements in air quality over the past three decades, a new study find that air pollution remains a major contributing factor for lung disease, heart attacks, and strokes that kill over 30,000 Americans each year. Lead researcher Dr. Majid Ezzati adds, “More stringent air pollution regulations in the [United States] have the potential to save tens of thousands of deaths each year and improve the longevity throughout the country.”
